Vision, Mission, Strategic Goals & Core Philosophy
Our Vision: "Healthcare 2030 — Sovereign Dignity & Universal Synergy"
To build an integrated, world-class, ethical, and fearless healthcare ecosystem in India and across the globe where every medical and healthcare professional—from physicians and surgeons to physiotherapists, technologists, nurses, AYUSH doctors, officers, students, and community volunteers—enjoys uncompromised statutory dignity, absolute workplace safety, fair economic remuneration, and independent clinical autonomy, thereby guaranteeing the fundamental Right to Health under Article 21 of the Constitution of India for all citizens.
Our Mission & Strategic Imperatives (Target 2030)
-
Mission 1 Million by 2030 (10 Lakh Professionals Unification Drive):
To build India’s largest and most formidable healthcare federation by enrolling over 1,000,000 (10 Lakh) registered professionals, doctors, nurses, allied scientists, students, and health officers into NAHPA by the year 2030, establishing an unshakeable pan-national collective voice across all 700+ districts of India.
-
Enactment of the Dedicated 'Allied & Healthcare Professional Protection Act':
To vigorously lobby, litigate, and advocate before Parliament and State Legislatures for the enactment of a comprehensive, non-bailable Central 'Allied and Healthcare Professionals Protection Act' with stringent penal punishments (up to 7 years rigorous imprisonment) against any form of physical assault, verbal abuse, institutional harassment, or obstruction of on-duty healthcare personnel.
-
Universal Pay Commission Parity & Mandatory Minimum Wages:
To aggressively litigate before High Courts and the Supreme Court to eliminate corporate wage exploitation and contractual casualization by enforcing 7th Pay Commission-aligned entry-level pay structures and mandatory minimum salary baselines across all private hospitals, corporate diagnostic chains, and government institutions.
-
Strict Anti-Quackery Enforcement (Sections 54 & 55 of NCAHP Act 2021):
To launch state-level judicial taskforces to actively file criminal complaints against fake practitioners, quacks, and unregistered diagnostic centers, ensuring that clinical practice and diagnostic reporting are reserved exclusively for legally registered professionals.
-
National Internship Stipend Parity Guarantee:
To guarantee that every medical, physiotherapeutic, AYUSH, nursing, and allied health student receives a mandatory, dignified monthly clinical stipend during internship rotations across private and government teaching institutions.
-
Clinical & Diagnostic Autonomy Defense:
To legally protect and preserve the independent diagnostic evaluation, functional assessment, and therapeutic autonomy of physiotherapists, optometrists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and clinical psychologists against unwarranted bureaucratic encroachments.
-
Global Healthcare Taskforce & Humanitarian Platform:
To mobilize, train, and accredit a worldwide taskforce of volunteer doctors, health officers, and philanthropists to lead free rural medical missions, emergency disaster relief drives, and international humanitarian outreaches under the NAHPA Global banner.

Core Pillars of NAHPA
Pillar I: Legal Defense & Statutory Advocacy Directorate
NAHPA maintains an empanelled Legal Redressal Cell comprising senior advocates practicing before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and Central Administrative Tribunals. The Directorate defends professionals against unjust negligence allegations under the Jacob Mathew (2005) and Bolam doctrines, prosecutes workplace violence under Medicare Protection statutes, and ensures statutory recognition before state registration councils.
Pillar II: Social Health Leadership & Humanitarian Wing
Health is social service. NAHPA provides a structured national platform for individuals and officers who wish to lead transformative community healthcare. Through executive appointments such as Director of Social Welfare, State Outreach Secretary, and District Relief Coordinator, members spearhead Mega Free Health Camps, rural diagnostic screenings, disaster relief missions, and public health awareness drives.
Pillar III: Student Advocacy & Youth Empowerment Charter
The National Student Wing of NAHPA is the premier voice for emerging health scholars. NAHPA fights for mandatory clinical internship stipends, reasonable working hours, subsidized Continuous Professional Development (CPD) masterclasses, student legal aid, and transparent institutional grievance mechanisms.
Pillar IV: Academic Standards & CPD Accreditation
Collaborating with the Allied and Healthcare Education Board (AHEB) and premier medical institutions, NAHPA organizes accredited national conferences, skill workshops, scientific symposiums, and research seminars that award certified CPD credit hours required for periodic license renewal.
Special Focus: Healthcare Officers & Administrative Support
NAHPA actively represents the vital managerial backbone of the healthcare sector. Medical Officers, Chief Technologists, Departmental In-charges, and Health Directorate Officers frequently face complex bureaucratic challenges, arbitrary administrative transfers, and pay disparities. NAHPA’s Officers Cell provides statutory mediation, service dispute advocacy under Administrative Tribunal laws, and policy representation before Union and State Health Ministries to safeguard executive dignity and service conditions.
Strategic Governance & Key Statutory Benchmarks
NAHPA grounds all its organizational policies on statutory enactments and landmark judicial pronouncements:
-
NCAHP Act, 2021 (Sections 36, 37, 40, 54, 55, 60 & 64):
Mandatory registration, nationwide practice rights, statutory employer obligations, anti-quackery penal sanctions, good faith legal immunity, and non-obstante overriding supremacy over state laws.
-
Landmark Precedent in Jacob Mathew v. State of Punjab (2005) 6 SCC 1:
Strict legal safeguards against unwarranted criminal prosecution of healthcare personnel without independent expert medical opinion.
-
Supreme Court Ruling in Orissa Lift Irrigation Corp. v. Rabi Sankar Patro (2018):
Absolute prohibition of Open & Distance Learning (ODL) or correspondence degrees in clinical healthcare, safeguarding authentic institutional training.
-
Supreme Court Ruling in Samira Kohli v. Dr. Prabha Manchanda (2008):
Codification of real, voluntary, and informed patient consent protocols in healthcare.
